Hospitality Architect – Design & Technical Lead

About the role

DLR Group’s Overland Park office is seeking a Hospitality Architect to join its integrated design team. The role blends creative design with technical development, supporting projects that shape luxury hotel experiences across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative architectural solutions that meet design intent, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate drawings, specifications, and documentation with multidisciplinary team members.
• Lead collaboration with project managers to ensure financial health, claim prevention, and quality control.
• Integrate BIM standards and QA/QC procedures into all deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance across design disciplines and resolve design‑related issues.

Required profile

• Licensed architect or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in hospitality projects, from concept through construction documents.
• Strong teamwork orientation with entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to think critically, solve complex design challenges, and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM workflows and standards.
