Home-to-School Transporter (District Transportation)

About the role

The District Transportation Department is seeking a reliable Home-to-School Transporter to safely move students between their homes and school sites. This position works on a variable schedule, with hours determined by district needs.

Key responsibilities

• Operate district‑owned vehicles to transport students to and from school according to assigned routes.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all passengers during each trip.
• Maintain a clean, well‑kept vehicle and complete required daily logs.
• Follow all district policies, traffic laws, and safety protocols.
• Participate in random drug testing and comply with pre‑employment health clearances.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver’s license with a district‑insurable driving record.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• TB clearance and fingerprinting (employee cost).
• Desirable experience driving students or groups of individuals.
