Home-Based Primary Care Physician – Austin

About the role

Visiting Physicians Association (VPA) is seeking board‑certified physicians to join its home‑based primary care team in Austin, Texas. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive primary care services directly in patients’ homes, allowing physicians to build lasting relationships while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑home primary care visits for an average of 10 patients per day.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate follow‑up services.
• Document all encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) system with support from dedicated staff.
• Collaborate with a medical assistant and an office‑based patient care coordinator to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality of care.

Required profile

• Medical degree and active, unrestricted license to practice in Texas.
• Experience in primary care or home‑based medical services preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and quality outcomes.

Required skills
