HIV Epidemiologist (Level 1)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an HIV Epidemiologist (Level 1) to support public‑health efforts across the state. Working under supervision, you will help monitor the HIV/AIDS epidemic, provide data‑driven insights, and contribute to programs that improve the health of Georgia’s residents.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and conduct epidemiologic investigations, surveillance and analyses of HIV/AIDS in Georgia.
• Collect, clean, analyze and interpret statistical data related to HIV incidence, prevalence, trends and the care continuum.
• Prepare epidemiologic presentations, fact sheets, routine reports and respond to data requests from stakeholders and partners.
• Collaborate with the HIV Epidemiology Unit to inform programmatic activities and public‑health interventions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two years of experience performing epidemiologic work or in a closely related field.

Required skills

• Statistical data analysis.
