High School History Teacher (Full‑time, On‑site)

About the role

The High School History Teacher will join Harvest Christian Academy’s Lantana campus to deliver engaging U.S. and world history lessons within a Christ‑centered environment. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on fostering critical thinking, respect, and a love of learning among secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver history lessons that integrate a Christian worldview and meet curriculum standards.
• Prepare clear lesson plans, use varied instructional strategies, and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with families, and participate in faculty meetings and professional development.
• Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, and the broader school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Social Studies Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or eligibility preferred.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level, preferably in a Christian or private school setting.
• Commitment to integrating a Christian worldview into instruction and modeling Christ‑centered character.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
