High School French Teacher (2026-2027)

About the role

The Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a qualified French teacher for high‑school students for the 2026‑2027 school year. The role involves delivering curriculum‑aligned instruction, fostering language proficiency, and supporting student growth in a collaborative school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet Texas Education Agency standards and accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress through formal and informal testing and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special‑education staff to modify curricula for students with IEPs.
• Manage classroom behavior in line with the Student Code of Conduct and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Supervise teacher aides, volunteers, and oversee extracurricular or sponsor activities as assigned.
• Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate (or equivalent out‑of‑state certification) appropriate for secondary French instruction.
• Completion of required content and Science of Teaching exams.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff and serve as a positive role model for students.
