Hematologist

About the role

The Hematologist will provide outpatient care for patients with benign and malignant hematologic disorders within a multidisciplinary practice that includes behavioral health, nutrition, clinical navigators, case management, pharmacists, and on‑site radiation oncology. The role involves participation in clinical trials, infusion and office‑based services, and collaboration with a broad team of specialists at Kingman Regional Medical Center.

Key responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients with hematologic conditions, providing clear instructions and consulting families as needed.
• Document examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans in compliance with record‑keeping standards.
• Write clear medical orders and support nursing staff with direction and clarification of care plans.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialty services when needs exceed the clinic’s scope.
• Participate in medical staff meetings and adhere to regulatory, organizational, and departmental policies.
• Review and update clinic policies, procedures, and protocols for medical appropriateness and compliance.
• Collaborate with referring providers and other specialists to ensure continuity of multi‑specialty care.

Required profile

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of a residency program in hematology or a related specialty.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in hematology.
• Current Arizona medical license and DEA registration.
