Help Desk Technician

About the role

Hayes Locums is looking for a Help Desk Technician to be the first point of contact for technical issues and requests. You will support users in person, by phone, and via email, aiming for first‑call resolution while collaborating with Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support across end‑user platforms and technologies, both onsite and remotely.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and document all incidents in the ticketing system.
• Assist with high‑volume technical onboarding for new employees.
• Escalate complex problems to Tier 2/3 and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain and track hardware and software inventory.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and support business continuity initiatives.

Required profile

• First‑point‑of‑contact mindset in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams.
