Help Desk Specialist – Onsite IT Support in NYC

About the role

MatchPoint Solutions is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to join its fast‑growing IT team in New York City. You will be the first point of contact for end‑users, providing on‑site support for both Mac and Windows environments while ensuring smooth operation of our clients' technology ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to end‑user requests via calls, emails, and walk‑ups for Mac and Windows platforms.
• Perform software installations, troubleshooting, and hardware repairs.
• Build and deploy new system images and configure equipment for new hires and remote workers.
• Manage incidents and ticket updates using ITSM tools.
• Execute IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) processes and OS configuration troubleshooting.
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting tasks.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of end‑user support experience.
• Strong background in computer configuration, repair, and hardware handling.
• Familiarity with ticketing/incident management systems and systems management tools (e.g., SMS).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and lift IT equipment.
