Heavy Haul CDL Driver

About the role

Omega Morgan is looking for experienced heavy‑haul and regular CDL drivers to join its teams in Portland, Salt Lake City, and Houston. The role involves operating multi‑axle and combination trailers, loading and unloading freight, and ensuring compliance with over‑dimensional permits and DOT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organize loads and trips to maximize efficiency.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks and maintain equipment.
• Secure cargo using ropes, chains, binders, and other rigging tools.
• Drive up to ten hours per day in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Interact professionally with customers and address any complaints.
• Document mileage and service hours accurately in a daily log.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience; heavy‑haul experience preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• Familiarity with DOT federal and state regulations for oversized transportation.
• Ability to read and process permits and paperwork.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week with overtime and travel as needed.
