Heavy Equipment Operator I

About the role

WM is seeking a reliable Heavy Equipment Operator I to work at its waste‑disposal site in Oscar, LA. You will operate essential construction equipment in a safe, stable environment while supporting the company’s waste‑management and recycling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers, scrapers and front‑end loaders in compliance with WM safety policies.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist with material movement and site preparation at the recycling facility.
• Follow established procedures to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.
• Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and daily activities.

Required profile

• Valid certification or proven experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Commitment to safety and ability to follow strict site protocols.
• Reliability and willingness to work a consistent Monday‑Friday schedule.
• Basic understanding of waste‑management or recycling site operations is a plus.
