Healthcare Virtual Assistant – Call Center (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Healthcare Virtual Assistant to join a high‑volume patient call center for a specialty allergy practice. The role is fully administrative, handling inbound calls, scheduling, and ticket logging while ensuring a smooth, empathetic patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and pre‑screen inbound patient calls, triaging intent and routing to the appropriate team member.
• Manage new‑patient inquiries, providing timely, warm, and accurate responses.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments for clinics in New York and Southern California using AdvancedMD EMR.
• Confirm appointments, follow up on open scheduling items, and reduce no‑shows.
• Log, flag, and track tickets for clinical and administrative staff, ensuring all necessary information is attached.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a healthcare call center, medical virtual assistant, or medical administrative role.
• Proficiency with AdvancedMD EMR (mandatory for the New York and Southern California locations).
• Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and ability to handle protected health information securely.
• Clear, professional, and empathetic spoken and written English.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage a high volume of calls independently.
