About the role
The Health and Hygiene Apprentice will engage directly with unhoused neighbors, provide essential hygiene services, and support the set‑up and tear‑down of mobile shower operations. This role contributes to a community‑focused program that restores dignity and promotes health outreach.
Key responsibilities
- Engage and build relationships with unhoused neighbors to assess their needs.
- Provide showers, hygiene products, and clothing at mobile and stationary sites.
- Assist with set‑up, tear‑down, and cleaning of shower trucks or trailers.
- Prepare and organize supplies required for program success.
- Follow safety and OSHA guidelines and participate in trainings and meetings.
Required profile
- Lived experience of homelessness or strong familiarity with unhoused communities.
- Experience working with marginalized populations.
- Ability to obtain or hold a valid driver’s license.
