Head of PR

About the role

The US Head of PR will lead Rise at Seven’s American public‑relations team, delivering high‑quality digital PR campaigns that exceed client KPIs. You will work closely with delivery and people teams to optimise capacity, mentor junior staff and ensure all output meets A‑class standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the US PR team, driving excellent output, efficient delivery and high motivation.
• Oversee capacity planning in Mavenlink, ensuring accurate forecasts and utilisation.
• Develop and train team members in partnership with the People team.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver against agreed KPIs.
• Chair weekly meetings to align resources and forecasts.
• Champion Mavenlink usage across the PR team.
• Collaborate with UK and international teams on resource sharing and development.
• Anticipate client challenges and propose proactive solutions.
• Expand media, influencer and community networks to secure coverage and content opportunities.
• Lead internal creative ideation sessions and inspire day‑to‑day creativity.
• Ensure internal client meetings are held weekly with clear role assignments.
• Manage client budgets, create planners and secure approvals for campaign spend.
• Produce high‑quality written deliverables and develop case studies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading PR teams and delivering successful digital campaigns.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to A‑class output.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with a track record of meeting KPIs.
• Ability to mentor, inspire and develop junior staff.
• Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Solid understanding of budgeting and agency financial processes.
