Head of Operations / General Manager

About the role

Drive Rite Academy is seeking a hands‑on Head of Operations to own daily execution across its New York driver‑training locations. Reporting directly to the founders, you will lead instructor and support teams, ensure compliance, and drive profitability while identifying growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and manage instructor and support staff across Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and Staten Island.
• Oversee scheduling, vehicle utilization, and compliance to maintain zero regulatory violations.
• Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, monitor KPIs, and produce dashboards for leadership.
• Own P&L for all locations, drive revenue growth, and implement cost‑saving measures without compromising quality.
• Explore new partnerships, expanded services, and ways to increase revenue per student.

Required profile

• 7+ years of operational management experience, preferably in service, education, or related fields.
• Proven track record of scaling a business and managing multiple teams or locations.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership and ability to meet profitability targets.
