Head of Manufacturing

About the role

TRL11, Inc. is seeking a Head of Manufacturing to lead the production of space‑grade imaging, avionics, and payload hardware. This high‑impact leadership position balances day‑to‑day production with continuous improvement, working closely with engineering, quality, supply chain and executive teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the manufacturing process, engineering, clean‑room operations, work scheduling and quality assurance.
• Ensure space‑grade hardware is produced in a workmanlike manner.
• Support implementation and certification to AS9100 standards.
• Ensure personnel are properly trained and equipment is ready for seamless production.
• Contribute directly to production as needed in a small‑team environment.

Required profile

• Prior hands‑on production experience in an aerospace setting.
• 7+ years of experience across manufacturing, production, quality, or engineering disciplines.
• Experience with MES and inventory‑management systems in structured production environments.
• Experience with AS9100, root‑cause analysis, corrective action, traceability, configuration control and non‑conformance control.
• Proven ability to collaborate with design engineering, quality, supply chain, procurement, executive leadership, program management and IT.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
