Head of Logistics

About the role

Plasmidsaurus is building the world’s most efficient sequencing engine and needs a senior leader to create and run a global logistics function. As Head of Logistics you will design the end‑to‑end system that moves thousands of biological samples across continents every week, ensuring speed, compliance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a global logistics organization from the ground up, covering first‑mile, international freight and customs.
• Design logistics processes and tools that minimise delays, cut costs and scale with company growth.
• Develop business‑continuity and contingency plans for routine and emergency scenarios.
• Implement and enforce import/export, customs and material‑handling compliance worldwide.
• Create dashboards and metrics to monitor shipment status, turnaround times and risk indicators.
• Partner with sales, product, operations, finance and customer success to forecast demand and support new service launches.
• Evaluate and optimise carrier and courier relationships to improve cost, service and reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or scaling a logistics function in a high‑growth, international environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for shipping biological materials.
• Track record of developing data‑driven processes and performance dashboards.
• Excellent stakeholder management across multiple time zones and functions.
