Head of Finance

About the role

Fello is seeking a hands‑on Head of Finance to own the complete finance function of its fast‑growing B2B SaaS platform for real‑estate teams. You will be responsible for the monthly close, GAAP compliance, revenue recognition, tax, reporting and audit readiness, working directly with a fractional CFO and leveraging AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly and annual close, including accruals, reconciliations, journal entries and flux analysis.
• Maintain full GAAP compliance and ensure continuous audit readiness, coordinating with external auditors.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations such as AP/AR, payroll coordination, expense management and banking.
• Design and automate workflows between billing and accounting systems (Stripe, Chargebee, QuickBooks) to minimise manual reconciliation.
• Develop accounting policies, technical documentation and process guides to support audits and third‑party diligence.
• Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 for subscription, usage‑based and hybrid pricing models and maintain accurate SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, GRR, churn).
• Produce monthly reporting packages that include financial statements, SaaS metrics, variance analysis and departmental spend.
• Handle tax compliance and related reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance functions in high‑growth SaaS or technology companies.
• Hands‑on expertise with full‑cycle accounting, audit preparation and revenue recognition.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to build reliable, audit‑ready financial processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and collaborating with AI‑driven tools.
