Head of Academics and Learning Engineering

About the role

Outsmart is seeking a visionary leader to shape its undergraduate curriculum for the AI era. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Provost, you will guide a multidisciplinary team to create world‑class courses, assessments, and learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define and champion Outsmart’s academic philosophy and pedagogical approach.
• Oversee the design, development, and validation of undergraduate curricula and standardized assessments across disciplines.
• Lead the Learning Team—including faculty, instructional designers, and learning engineers—to ensure excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed AI‑enhanced, technology‑enabled learning experiences.
• Ensure accreditation, regulatory compliance, and robust academic quality systems.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Education, Learning Science, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in pedagogy, learning design, and assessment development.
• Proven experience operating at the intersection of education, technology, and entrepreneurship.
• Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams in an early‑stage, high‑impact environment.
