Head Landscape Mechanic

About the role

The Head Landscape Mechanic will lead the maintenance and repair of all landscaping equipment at Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club, supporting the grounds‑keeping team in delivering high‑quality member experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other power tools.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
• Manage parts inventory, order replacements, and ensure tools are stocked.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, including dates, parts used, and work performed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to landscaping staff on equipment use and care.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience maintaining and repairing landscaping or similar equipment, including diesel engines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for small‑engine diagnostics and repair.
• Certification in small‑engine repair or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; Spanish a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
