About the role
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs is seeking an HCV Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of its statewide Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. This position ensures accurate, compliant, and timely processing of all program-related financial transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day financial activities for the HCV program serving over 11,000 families across 159 counties.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of Housing Assistance Payments (HAP), subsidy drawdowns, HUD reporting, and budget monitoring.
- Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance on complex financial issues.
- Act as primary liaison for audits and HUD financial reviews.
- Maintain financial integrity under federal funding constraints.

- Deep knowledge of HCV‑specific financial processes.
- Proactive approach to learning and system proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a versatile team player.
