Hardware Systems Engineer – Vehicle OS

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to lead the definition of system, hardware, and electrical/electronics (EE) requirements for a strategic Vehicle OS product. This role focuses on requirements decomposition, architecture definition, and traceability rather than hands‑on hardware design.

Key responsibilities

• Decompose vehicle‑level requirements into clear, testable system, hardware, and EE specifications.
• Define system boundaries, capabilities, and functional features for the product.
• Translate customer needs and autonomy use cases into concrete hardware requirements and operational objectives.
• Design the EE architecture for test benches and rigs, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) setups.
• Establish and maintain process, tooling, and traceability foundations using ASPICE, Polarion, and Cameo.
• Ensure the built system continuously meets evolving vehicle‑level requirements.

Required profile

• Strong background in robotics and software engineering.
• Experience with requirements engineering and model‑based development.
• Familiarity with automotive standards such as ASPICE.
• Ability to work collaboratively across hardware, software, and systems teams.
