Hardware Qualification and DST Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Hardware Qualification and DST Engineer to support R&D module integration, calibration and qualification for semiconductor equipment. The role involves ensuring module performance meets specifications both on‑tool and off‑tool while collaborating with R&D owners.

Key responsibilities

• Support R&D module owners in off‑ and on‑tool module integration, calibration and qualification.
• Qualify module performance to specification and lead qualification of non‑system components.
• Define, execute and qualify calibration procedures and qualification plans, including risk assessments.
• Provide expert guidance on tool build, integration and production documentation, including build books and subsystem ATP tests.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in at least one R&D discipline such as Optic, Electronic, Motion or SEM.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with experience in high‑level debugging and third‑level escalation.
• Knowledge of best practices and how the hardware area integrates with other disciplines.
• Ability to act as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and lead small projects.

• Salary range $138,000 – $190,000 per year.
