Hardware Integration Engineer

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer to join its hardware team in Sunnyvale. You will be responsible for building, testing, maintaining, and improving the utilization of the autonomous‑vehicle fleet, acting as the technical reference for the system.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as subject‑matter expert for the autonomous‑vehicle platform, gaining deep familiarity with all system components.
• Design, prototype, and install proof‑of‑concept sensors and systems, providing integration support across the organization.
• Lead vehicle build‑out through delivery, including final bring‑up, shakedown testing, and hand‑over to operations.
• Create and operate test benches to validate mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software subsystems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive integration documentation.
• Troubleshoot vehicle systems, perform root‑cause analysis, and minimize downtime while prioritizing safety.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field.
• At least 1 year of technical experience in mechanical, electrical, computer, automotive, or robotics environments.
• Experience with autonomous‑vehicle components such as Lidar, Radar, and Camera systems.
• Background in low‑volume automotive manufacturing or robotics integration.
• Ability to work independently on evolving, high‑level challenges.
