Hardware Engineer – PCB Design & Bring‑up

About the role

Normal Computing is building next‑generation AI hardware and you will lead the complete PCB development lifecycle for our custom CIM substrate, from concept through silicon bring‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end PCB design, including research, schematic capture, layout, tape‑out and fabrication.
• Lead post‑silicon correlation, validation and root‑cause analysis for custom chips.
• Perform PCB bring‑up, ensuring functional verification of high‑speed designs.
• Collaborate with analog, digital and machine‑learning engineers to optimise system‑level performance, power, area and timing.

Required profile

• Delivered multiple PCBs from design through simulation, fabrication and bring‑up.
• Proficient with industry‑standard PCB tools such as Altium, Allegro, OrCAD or Xpedition.
• Experience designing expansion‑format boards (PCIe) and integrating components like FPGAs, high‑speed memories, flash and 100 Gb Ethernet connectors.
• Comfortable working in a lab environment, including microscope soldering and hardware debugging.
