Hardware Engineer, EE Design

About the role

Rivet is seeking a Hardware Engineer focused on electrical and electronic (EE) design to help build ruggedized device platforms for industrial and defense applications. You will work on embedded system design, PCB layout, and sensor integration, delivering compact, reliable, production‑ready hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical subsystems from schematic capture through hardware bring‑up, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with systems, RF, and software teams to integrate hardware across the full stack and support mass‑production scaling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 1–3+ years of hardware design experience for mass‑produced products.
• Hands‑on experience in hardware bring‑up, validation, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power supplies, and electronic loads.

Required skills

• Proficiency with schematic capture and constraint‑driven PCB layout tools such as Cadence.
• Expertise in embedded communication interfaces (GPIO, I2C, UART, SPI, USB) and sensor integration.
• Knowledge of power electronics, analog design, signal and power integrity, and noise‑sensitive circuitry.
