Gynecologic Oncology Physician

About the role

An established Gynecologic Oncology team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is seeking a physician to join its high-volume surgical practice. The position offers a balanced mix of oncology and general gynecology in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting, with a manageable call schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide gynecologic oncology care in a practice with four oncologists and a balanced case mix of roughly 60% oncology and 40% general gynecology.
• Perform surgeries supported by three da Vinci Xi robots and dedicated OR teams.
• Work alongside NPs/PAs, first assistants, residents and multidisciplinary tumor boards.
• Benefit from a strong referral base and consistent surgical volume.
• Follow a Monday-to-Friday schedule with typically 2-3 clinic days and 1-2 dedicated OR days per week, on a 1:4 call rotation at a single hospital with 24/7 critical care support.

Required profile

• Board-certified or board-eligible Gynecologic Oncologist.
• Open to new fellows and experienced physicians.
• Interest in a collaborative, team-based practice environment.
• Robotic surgery experience preferred, or willingness to use robotic technology.
