Groundskeeper/Porter – Student Living Community

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and curb appeal of the Monarch 716 student living community. This role supports the service team by keeping common areas, grounds, and amenities clean and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings and keep all common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change locks according to property policy and ensure pool‑area gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to the appropriate supervisors.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and respond sensitively to maintenance complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and promptly report accidents or incidents.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license required to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to identify and report safety hazards.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
• Commitment to adhering to safety, risk‑management, and company policies.
