Groundskeeper/Porter

About the role

Greystar is looking for a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the physical appearance of the community, ensuring that grounds, amenities, and overall curb appeal meet the company’s standards. The role involves daily inspections, litter removal, lock changes, and supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change all locks according to property policy and ensure pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Notify supervisors of any observed hazards or potentially dangerous situations.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and respond sensitively to maintenance complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and promptly report accidents or incidents.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined spaces.
• Commitment to safety procedures and reporting of hazards.
