Groundskeeper/Porter for Student Living Community

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter will maintain the appearance and safety of the student living community at Boise State, ensuring that grounds, common areas, and amenities are clean, functional, and welcoming for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings, and keep all common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport waste to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage spaces.
• Perform minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool‑area gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license required to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.

Required skills

• Operating a golf cart safely on campus grounds.
