Groundskeeper/Porter – Community Maintenance

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of a mid‑rise community during its lease‑up phase. The role supports the service team and ensures that common areas, amenities, and vacant units are clean, functional, and welcoming for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the property throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet waste, keeping all common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage, and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with unit turn‑around processes.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects, and crawling in confined spaces.
