Groundskeeper – Waters (Hammond)

About the role

The Groundskeeper – Waters is responsible for maintaining the visual appeal and safety of the community’s outdoor areas at the Hammond property. This role supports the service team by ensuring that all common spaces, amenities, and surrounding grounds are clean, well‑kept, and compliant with Greystar standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings and keep all common areas and amenities tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage spaces.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to property policy and ensure pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects and crawling in confined spaces.
• Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and willingness to report safety concerns.
