Groundskeeper – Student Living Community

About the role

This position ensures the physical aspects of The Broadview at Vanderbilt community are well‑maintained, keeping the grounds, amenities and overall curb appeal at high standards. The groundskeeper works closely with the service team to support daily operations and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day, removing litter, debris and pet droppings to keep all common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash and items from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport waste to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage spaces.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change all locks according to property policy and ensure pool‑area gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any observed hazards or potentially dangerous situations to the appropriate supervisors.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance‑related complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend routine safety meetings, complete required OSHA and other safety training, and promptly report accidents or incidents.

Required profile

• Ability to perform regular inspections and maintain cleanliness of common areas.
• Experience handling trash removal, storage area upkeep, and assisting with unit turn‑overs.
• Capability to change locks and verify safety of pool gates.
• Strong communication skills for distributing notices and interacting with residents.
• Proactive reporting of hazards and commitment to safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.

Required skills
