Groundskeeper – Roots at Boerne

About the role

The Groundskeeper will maintain the physical appearance and safety of the Roots at Boerne community, ensuring that grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards. This role works closely with the service team to support daily operations and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day, removing litter, debris and pet droppings to keep all common areas and amenities clean.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage spaces.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist during turnover.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance‑related complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects and crawling in confined spaces.
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety procedures and reporting.
