Groundskeeper / Porter (La Terraza)

About the role

We are looking for a Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of the La Terraza community. The role involves daily inspection of common areas, trash removal, minor repairs and supporting the make‑ready process for vacant units. This is an entry‑level, on‑site position within Greystar’s property management team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings and keep all common areas and amenities tidy.
• Remove trash and items from vacant apartments, transport them to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage spaces.
• Perform minor and routine service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to property policy and ensure pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate; no prior experience required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
