Groundskeeper / Porter for Student Living Community

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of the Accolade Auburn student‑living community. You will ensure that common areas, amenities and the surrounding grounds are clean, well‑kept and welcoming for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the property throughout the day, removing litter, debris and pet waste from all common areas and amenities.
• Clear trash from vacant units before the make‑ready process and keep storage areas tidy.
• Perform minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to policy and verify that pool‑area gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answering questions and addressing maintenance‑related concerns.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and report incidents.
