Groundskeeper / Porter for Residential Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of the Strawberry Hill community in Charlotte, NC. You will work closely with the service team to ensure common areas, amenities, and the overall curb appeal meet Greystar’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the property throughout the day, removing litter, debris, and pet droppings from common areas and amenities.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with turn‑over tasks.
• Change locks according to policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answering resident questions and addressing maintenance complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents or incidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean, safe environment.
