Groundskeeper / Porter for Elan LoSo Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of the Elan LoSo community in Charlotte, NC. You will ensure common areas, amenities, and the overall curb appeal meet Greystar’s high standards while supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping all common areas tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with apartment turn‑overs.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and reaching.
• Commitment to safety procedures and ability to identify and report hazards.
• Professional demeanor with strong respect for residents and team members.
