Groundskeeper – Full-time

About the role

Greystar is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of its community in Houston, Texas. The role involves daily inspections, litter removal, and support for the service team to ensure the property meets Greystar’s high standards of curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect common areas, amenities, and grounds throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings.
• Collect and dispose of trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and keep storage spaces clean.
• Complete minor and routine service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Assist the make‑ready specialist during apartment turnover processes.
• Change all locks in accordance with property policy and ensure gates operate correctly.

Required profile

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, walking, and bending.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic lock‑changing techniques.
• Use of standard maintenance tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of proper waste handling and disposal procedures.
