Groundskeeper for The Rice Community

About the role

The Rice community is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of its outdoor areas. You will work closely with the service team to ensure the property’s curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping all common areas tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Change locks according to property policy and ensure pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report incidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Strong attention to safety, with the ability to identify and report hazards.
• Customer‑service orientation and respectful interaction with residents and team members.
• Willingness to attend and participate in routine safety meetings and complete required training.
