Groundskeeper – Avana Belmar Community

About the role

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of the Avana Belmar community. This role supports the service team by ensuring common areas, amenities, and surrounding grounds are clean, well‑kept, and inviting for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet waste, and keep all common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with apartment turn‑overs.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and work in confined spaces.
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
