Ground Test Inspector – Avionics

About the role

Airbus is seeking an Avionics‑focused Ground Test Inspector to join its Manufacturing team at the Mobile, Alabama facility. The role supports final assembly of A320 and A220 aircraft by ensuring avionics systems are correctly tested and documented.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft and workstation environments for avionics testing in a safe manner.
• Perform functional tests on flight controls, navigation, passenger entertainment and other avionics systems while the aircraft is being assembled.
• Coordinate troubleshooting activities with engineering teams and resolve test‑system issues.
• Document non‑conformities in the SAP NC system and trigger repeat‑test instructions after rework.
• Continuously clarify procedures and suggest improvements to testing processes.

Required profile

• Experience with ground testing of aircraft avionics systems.
• Familiarity with SAP NC for non‑conformance tracking.
• Ability to work safely on the shop floor and follow aerospace quality standards.
• Strong communication skills to interact with engineering and production teams.
