Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Technician to join A-Core’s concrete‑inspection team. The role involves performing concrete scanning and subsurface investigations on commercial, industrial and residential construction projects across Utah.

Key responsibilities

• Operate GSSI and/or Proceq GPR equipment to locate reinforcing steel, post‑tension cables, conduits, utilities, voids and other embedded objects.
• Maintain and calibrate GPR equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
• Mark and document findings on site for customers and project stakeholders.
• Interpret scan results and communicate findings to field personnel, project managers and clients.
• Prepare detailed finding reports, project documentation and equipment maintenance records.
• Follow all company and project‑specific safety policies and represent A‑Core professionally on job sites.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of GPR experience on construction projects.
• Hands‑on experience with GSSI and/or Proceq GPR systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor‑vehicle record.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable work ethic.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with computers and mobile devices for reporting.
