Grocery Clerk – Retail Store

About the role

We are looking for a friendly Grocery Clerk to join our Tyler, Texas store. You will help keep the grocery aisles stocked, maintain product quality, and provide excellent service to our shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full stock levels on grocery display racks and shelves.
• Operate a pallet jack to unload product from warehouse trucks and reload trucks with return items.
• Rotate, restock, or discard dated product according to food‑safety standards.
• Inspect product for quality and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collect empty cardboard boxes and other trash for disposal.
• Scan items, use weight scales, and operate the cash register to process customer purchases accurately.
• Collect shopping carts and keep the parking lot free of debris.
• Assist customers with price checks, product location, and suggestive selling.
• Follow safety procedures when using equipment and maintain a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Greet customers, answer questions, bag groceries, and provide courteous service.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move merchandise.
• Customer‑service oriented with a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Pallet jack operation.
• Cash register and point‑of‑sale scanning.
• Weight‑scale usage.
• Basic food safety and product rotation knowledge.
