Grants Manager – Research Operations

About the role

The Grants Manager provides essential administrative and financial support for multi‑institutional, interdisciplinary research programs within the Health Affairs division. Working closely with the Associate Director of Research Operations and principal investigators, the role ensures accurate budgeting, compliance, and post‑award management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage portfolio finances: process payroll, procurement, accounts payable/receivable, travel, events, and collaborator expenses; allocate costs to correct program budgets.
• Prepare and reconcile internal budgets for principal investigators, monitor spending, and execute budget adjustments.
• Support post‑award activities: coordinate with the Office of Sponsored Programs, track award effort, prepare reports (RPPR, annual), and submit extensions or supplemental funding.
• Collaborate with the Chief Health Officer and research leadership to ensure successful program implementation and compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in grant administration, financial accounting, and budget management for research programs.
• Ability to work with principal investigators, research administrators, and external funding agencies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor compliance and reporting deadlines.
