Graduate Teaching Assistant – Computer Science

About the role

The Graduate Assistant will support the teaching of undergraduate courses in the Computer Science Department at Prairie View A&M University. This position is intended for a graduate student who is enrolled in at least nine credit hours and maintains good academic standing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist faculty in delivering undergraduate lectures, labs, and tutorials.
• Provide guidance and hands‑on assistance to students during coursework.
• Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams as directed.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the department head or supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Currently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for a minimum of nine graduate credit hours (or six credit hours for summer work).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and in good academic standing.
