About the role

The Graduate Summer Associate Program offers graduate students a ten‑week, full‑time internship within the Markets Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, based in Chicago. Interns join a cohort, receive mentorship, and contribute to projects that support the U.S. economy and global financial stability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing open market operations.
• Monitor and analyze financial market developments for policymakers.
• Support debt issuance and management activities on behalf of the U.S. Treasury.
• Provide foreign exchange and account services to foreign central banks and U.S. government agencies.
• Collaborate with other interns and staff on cross‑functional projects.

Required profile
