Graduate Developer

About the role

Join GHD’s Data Analytics & Insights team as a Graduate Developer and help turn complex data into visual tools and efficient management systems. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with senior developers and cross‑functional experts to deliver impactful data solutions for consulting projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior team members to create interactive programs and displays using Javascript and Python.
• Translate complex data into clear visual formats that communicate insights to clients and stakeholders.
• Suggest improvements to the user experience of dashboards and reports.
• Perform quality checks to ensure deliverables accurately reflect source information.
• Support the development of data storage and organization solutions for internal teams.
• Design and implement efficient data management processes for data input, processing, and retrieval.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data visualization and management.
• Work with environmental scientists, analysts, and other team members to understand data requirements and project goals.
• Participate actively in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in a developer role.
• Front‑end or back‑end development experience.
• Strong foundation in Javascript and Python.
• Basic understanding of data manipulation and visualization principles.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
