Graduate Assistant Researcher – Higher Education & Learning Technologies

About the role

The Department of Higher Education and Learning Technologies at Texas A&M University‑Commerce is hiring two Graduate Assistant Researchers for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role provides part‑time, on‑campus experience supporting faculty research, program assessment, data collection, literature reviews, and grant‑related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and synthesize scholarly research.
• Assist with qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection, coding, and analysis using research software.
• Support survey development, administration, and analysis.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and research summaries.
• Contribute to grant development, conference proposals, publications, and scholarly presentations.
• Participate in program evaluation and assessment activities while maintaining research records in compliance with university policies.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a graduate program at East Texas A&M University.
• Bachelor's degree completed before the start date.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Data analysis software such as SPSS, NVivo, Qualtrics, or Power BI.
