Gondola Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Gondola Operations Supervisor leads the daily operation of the Homewood Mountain gondola system, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality experiences for guests. This position oversees a team of Gondola Operators, coordinates training, and acts as the primary point of contact during the manager’s absence.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire seasonal gondola staff.
• Plan and deliver preseason and on‑the‑job training, ensuring all compliance paperwork is audit‑ready.
• Maintain A.N.S.I. B77 compliance for all lift operations.
• Supervise daily opening procedures, monitor terminal activity, and manage employee breaks and meal periods.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to maintain consistency, efficiency, and safety.
• Collaborate with other resort departments to support shared objectives.
• Lead the department in the manager’s absence, represent the team in meetings, and administer discipline per company policy.
• Perform snow removal and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of lift or gondola operations experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or similar leadership experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities, especially with seasonal staff.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver employee training.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols, operational procedures, and risk management.
